Kemtah Presents at the 2nd Annual HIMSS Northeast US Healthcare Trade Faire & Regional Conference

Pittsburgh, PA
October 16, 2008

Mr. Geoff Duke, Kemtah vice president of service delivery and corporate strategy, was a featured presenter at the 2nd Annual HIMSS Northeast US Healthcare Trade Faire & Regional Conference. The conference brings together information technology (IT) professionals from hospitals, healthcare systems, and physicians from the region. The purpose is to bring the nation’s leading healthcare solutions companies together face-to-face with the region’s leading healthcare executives and professionals.

Mr. Duke was asked to provide two presentations at the conference. The first, Healthcare Technology Infrastructure Transformation: Where to Start, addressed how to begin applying and leveraging ITIL best practices in transforming key processes and laying a foundation for delivering IT services in a transformed IT environment. The second, Building a Service Desk: The Key to Customer Service, focused on healthcare IT operational managers and the benefits and challenges to transforming an IT service desk solution. Both presentations demonstrated the cost savings healthcare organizations can achieve with minimal investment by leveraging efficient processes and focusing on the user facing functions of IT.

HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) is a not-for-profit US organization dedicated to promoting a better understanding of health care information and management systems. The conference was sponsored by the HIMSS Western Pennsylvania Chapter.

Mr. Duke is based in Kemtah’s Albuquerque, NM headquarters.
