Kemtah Employees and Events Raise More Than $17 thousand for Special Olympics of New Mexico 2008 Summer Games

Steve Wade, president of the Kemtah Group, Inc., today presented a check for $17,874 to Oscar Solis of Special Olympics New Mexico (SONM). The donation was the result of two employee-led initiatives to benefit SONM. The first, a wine tasting and silent auction, was held April 27 at the Hotel Albuquerque Q Bar. The second, a raffle, was drawn on May 23 at Kemtah headquarters in Albuquerque. Both events featured a variety of items donated by national and local businesses, artists, restaurants, and private donors. Raffle prizes and auction items included wine, balloon rides, airline tickets, jewelry, personal services, and electronic gear.
